IVVY is out now on Sheik ‘N’ Beik Records

It Only Takes One Brick is out now via Sheik ‘N’ Beik Records, the New York imprint. It’s one cut on IVVY’s nine-track YVVI, a record that leans on driving techno rhythms layered with warped, trance-like textures.

IVVY is Madi Levine, the Seattle-based producer. Two separate reworks of the title track sit on the same release, both handled by Bergsonist: the Heavy Bricklayer Remix and the No Future Bricks Remix. The original runs 5:08. Heavy Bricklayer trims that to 4:44. No Future Bricks stretches it to 5:23. Levine also runs Ground Hum, the Seattle ambient festival, and has put records out through Jungle Gym and Identity Spectrum.

Levine has been on Sheik ‘N’ Beik since 2017. Levine’s previous record for the label was Various Sheik 001. Its roster also carries Colorful Language, Daiikon and The Josh Craig.

Top Me opens YVVI. Eric’s House 3AM and Gives Me Hope For Us sit toward the back of the tracklist. Witchcraft closes it out. Including both remixes, the record runs forty-five minutes and fifty-six seconds altogether.
