Honey Dijon releases new album Black Girl Magic

Classic Music Company puts out Honey Dijon’s new album, ‘Black Girl Magic’ — the label she’s called home since 2011.

The album arrives after a head-turning year for Dijon, who played a major set at Coachella and worked directly on Beyoncé’s ‘Renaissance,’ producing two of its tracks and remixing the hit single ‘Break My Soul.’

‘Black Girl Magic’ pairs Dijon with collaborators including Channel Tres, EVE, Pabllo Vittar and Mike Dunn, threading spoken-word passages through the production. It closes on ‘La Femme Fantastique,’ a collaboration with Josh Caffe that EDM.com named one of the best house tracks of 2020.

Out now to stream and buy, the record’s closing track opens quiet — a hushed vocal buried under heavy reverb — before a drop lands to close it out.
