Gryffin’s third studio album PULSE runs to fourteen tracks

PULSE is out now. Fourteen tracks make up the album, released 2 August 2024.

The album marks Gryffin’s third studio full-length, after his 2019 debut, Gravity, and a sophomore record, Alive, three years later, which leaned on the soaring, sing-along hooks that built his name. His catalogue runs across both original productions and remixes, released under his own name since 2016.

Melodic techno carries most of the record, a nod to the early-to-mid 2000s dance era that shaped him. Deep tech and progressive house surface too across its run. Stretches of trance and drum and bass round out the range. It trades the lyrical focus of Gravity and Alive for upbeat rhythms and elevated synth work. One cut, ‘Falling To Pieces,’ pushes into breaks and heavier percussion — new territory for him.

Gryffin has called the album a return to what first drew him to dance music, with tour dates already set to follow. Every cut on it is pinned to a feeling or a moment, though two were pushed to the front of the record. It follows MAGIC, and it is not the multi-platinum producer’s first release under this arrangement.
