Galantis release ‘Unless It Hurts

‘Steel’ arrived first, and Galantis — Christian Karlsson and Linus Eklöw — were not finished there. ‘Unless It Hurts,’ the newest cut from the duo’s forthcoming album, follows it via Big Beat Records, carrying the same glossy synth lines and festival-scaled percussion as its predecessor. The drop itself leans into dense, heavily synthesized production and the infectious pulse that has carried the record’s range so far.

Church, the album this single previews, is Galantis’s third full-length, following ‘Pharmacy’ in 2015 and ‘The Aviary’ in 2017. It arrives 7 February alongside ‘Stella,’ a second advance track pulled from the same record. The duo follow the release with the Church of Galantis Tour, opening a week later on 14 February.

A few years into the decade’s EDM boom, singles including ‘You’ and ‘Runaway (U & I)’ first made the duo’s name, and the pair have opened this year with a run of big announcements, of which the album is the latest.
