ODESZA and Foreign Family announce Sundara Festival

ODESZA and Foreign Family Collective — the label the duo run themselves — are staging a festival of their own, Sundara, at Riviera Maya in Mexico from 13 to 16 March. It follows a decision that had fans guessing for months: ODESZA confirmed earlier this year that they would not return to Red Rocks next year, ending a run of shows at the Colorado venue that had gone four years straight, and the speculation that they were clearing that date for a Foreign Family event of their own has turned out to be right. ODESZA headline it themselves, alongside Alison Wonderland, RL Grime and RÜFÜS DU SOL, with Bob Moses and TOKiMONSTA further down a bill where every act plays two separate sets across the three days.

Packages are all-inclusive and start around $1,350 a person — the same range that ended Above & Beyond’s own attempt at a Riviera Maya festival earlier this year, when Anjunabeach was called off after fans said the price put it out of reach. Beyond the music there’s yoga, daytime pool parties, mini golf and catamaran cruises worked into the schedule.

Foreign Family has done this once before, in miniature: the label took its own stage at Electric Forest in 2017, curating it with imprint talent that included Jai Wolf and Kasbo, both of whom are now on Sundara’s bill alongside the label heads. If you want a spot, packages go on sale October 23rd at 1pm ET.
