Amelie Lens shares her own voice on ‘our frequency

Exhale released ‘our frequency’ on 21 May, and it marks two firsts for the label’s own boss, Amelie Lens: her own voice on record, and the first single from a debut album a decade in the making.
The single leans into a thread that runs through Lens’ catalogue and live sets alike: grand set against intimate, cinematic against raw, light against dark. It pairs her usual peak-time drive with softer, melodic and emotional textures — the first real hint of where ‘AURA’ is headed.
Lens has spent ten years releasing music without a full studio album behind her. ‘AURA,’ an 11-track record on Exhale, arrives 4 September, sold digitally and pressed on gatefold double vinyl in blue and white.
Lens is also building an immersive AURA live show, designed to sharpen the connection between the music, the movement on stage and the crowd watching it. It heads to festivals including Sónar, Paléo Festival and Tomorrowland this summer.
“AURA is about the connection between the crowd and me,” Lens said. “This is the most honest version of myself I’ve ever shared.” Stream ‘our frequency’ now via amelielens.com.
