DJ Snake links with Rick Ross and Rich Brian on ‘Run It

DJ Snake is not slowing down. He is partway through a tour across Europe and North America that has already stopped at major festivals. Two other releases have already arrived from him this year: ‘You Are My High’ and ‘Ring the Alarm.’

‘Run It’ — a new one, with Rick Ross and Rich Brian — landed August 13 on the soundtrack to Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, credited to MARVEL, Hollywood Records and Interscope. The film opens in theaters September 3. His 2021 run continues into October with a stop at EDC Las Vegas.

Rich Brian opens with a rapid-fire verse before the first drop hits. Rick Ross takes the second verse in his familiar gruff register, then Snake pushes into a second, harder drop built on ferocious synths.

The record extends Pardon My French’s run of collaborative hits. The track leans dark, and that mood only deepens as it runs. Stream it below.
