Above & Beyond announce fifth album, Bigger Than All Of Us

Above & Beyond spent the seven years since Common Ground on work outside the trio — Tony McGuinness released the singer-songwriter album Salt, while Jono Grant and Paavo Siljamäki worked through JODA and Deeper Tales. That interval closes 18 July, when the trio’s long-awaited fifth full-length, titled Bigger Than All Of Us, arrives via Anjunabeats — the label marks twenty-five years since it launched in July 2000. The three also oversee Anjunadeep and, more recently, Anjunachill, alongside a weekly Group Therapy radio show. Anjunafamily have been waiting for this one! Common Ground reached number three on the Billboard 200 in 2018.
Quicksand (Don’t Go), the album’s lead single, carries a vocal from Zoë Johnston and arrived 21 March. The trio credit Johnston with twenty-two years of work together and count her among the voices behind some of their most affecting records. It previewed live the previous October, at a sold-out Group Therapy 600 broadcast in Mexico.
The album runs to an unusually full 29 tracks, and Above & Beyond will tour behind it later this year. Its title track pairs the trio with vocalist Justine Suissa.
